I had ordered 4 appliances from AJ Madison. It took so much longer(three weeks, verses the one week to ten days)to arrive.
Once it arrived at the warehouse for delivery, that was another nightmare. I had to call them daily and actually get person (because the mailbox was full) to get a date and time for delivery. Then the microwave was too big for my space and it was going to cost me $200.00 to return it when the entire microwave only cost $254.00.
This does not make sense to me, but the lady on the phone said she is going to convince me(yes, those were the words used , convince me) that this makes perfect sense!!! I will give it away before I give it to them.
Thinking of ordering a major appliance, but forget it!!!
A J Madison - horrible service and 30-40% charged for order cancellation even when not delivered
This is my worst online shopping experience with AJMadison ever. Ordered a cooktop which was supposedly delivered in a week.
Even after 10 days, no one at AJMadison can tell when the product will be delivered. Supposedly they use a third party delivery company which is ***. They fool customer by saying this so that they can screw around the delivery and take no responsibility for that. Another trick they do is as soon as you place order, your order status turn to shipped.
Any order, if cancelled, after it has been shipped (may not mean that the product is really shipped and is on the way!) AJMadison will charge a restocking fee of 30 to 40%. Which is a robbery in itself.
In my case AJMadison charged 35% of the of the total order as restocking fee even though the item was never delivered even after 10 days. What a shabby business model!

And it just keeps getting worse...Since posting the last review, our appliances were delivered because AJ Madison wouldn\'t let us send them back as described above. On the AJ Madison site it clearly states to unpack your appliances and examine them to make sure they are in good condition before signing the delivery sheet.
After having read other reviews online of consumer who received damaged appliances from them but couldn\'t get a refund because they had already signed the sheet I knew I had to be ready to look my appliances over right away. But, when I started trying to unpack them, the delivery men began trying to make me sign the sheet right away, telling me I was only signing that I had received the appliances from the delivery company. It had nothing to do with the quality of the appliances or my rights with AJ Madison. I asked why, if that was so, the sheet he was handing me to sign had the AJ Madison logo and contact info on it.
His response? To say they had only been contracted to come for five minutes and, if I didn\'t sign instantly, they would have stayed overtime and I would have to pay them extra!
If AJ Madison is going to subcontract, they need to make sure these companies act in accordance with their rules and treat their customers well. The way these companies constantly contradict each other just sounds like a huge scam to me.

so true, i place an order an wait full 30 days to be deliver a product that they have in stock because texas is a remote are?, i have buy things from canada that arrive in les than a week.........the costumer service scream at me because i want to cancel.....this company sucks :(
